Beef ingredients 3/4 lb. beef boneless round steak1 egg white 2 tsp cornstarch 1 tsp soy sauce 1/2 tsp sugar 1/8 tsp white pepper 1 tbs. vegetable oil 1 cup shredded carrots 1 large green bell pepper, cut into 2 x 1/8-inch strips 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1 tsp finely chopped gingerroot 1 tsp chile puree 1 tsp soy sauce 2 green onions, chopped directions Trim fat from beef. Shred beef. Mix egg white, cornstarch, 1 tsp soy sauce, sugar and white pepper in medium bowl. Stir in beef. Let stand 10 minutes.Spray non-stick wok or skillet with non-stick cooking spray; heat over medium-high heat until cooking spray starts to bubble. Add oil; rotate to coat side. Add beef; stir-fry 3 to 4 minutes or until brown. Add carrots, bell pepper, garlic and gingerroot; stir-fry 1 minute. Stir in chile puree, 1 tsp soy sauce and the green onions; cook and stir 30 seconds. |
