UMSFL Anime Synopsis

Part 4: High Power

Ultraman chokes back tears...putting Demon Mefilas back down on the moon fragment, he faces Tsuifon, cheeks flushed and face the perfect picture of rage.

Ultraman: What on earth ARE you?! Why do you continue with this?!

Long pause.

Tsuifon

I am what I am. (Ore wa ore da)

Ultraman

?!

Tsuifon

Crossing this whole universe, destroying all that lies before me...that is me.

Ultraman

What?! Why? Why such a thing?

Tsuifon

There is no why and wherefore about it. That is who I am. I have done so for tens of thousands of years before this, and I shall continue do so even now.

Ultraman

:

I won't let you get away with that. Not...a second time...*is shaking with rage, and yells
out with eyes burning*

"I WON'T LET YOU GET AWAY WITH SUCH A THING!!!"

A huge burst of golden light shoots up around Ultraman, surrounding him. Taro gets very jumpy. So do Banjou and Notani. Taking up the classic strength-concentration pose as the light begins to form a vortex around him, Ultraman powers up and the person standing after the light surges away is not just Ultraman, but...Super Fighter Ultraman.

Super Fighter Ultraman: I don't forgive those who destroy the universe!

With a single punch Ultraman sends Tsuifon flying through fragments of moon. Taro yells out that it's dangerous to turn Super Fighter without the Ultra Crown, as Ultraman will run out of energy very quickly. Banjou confirms it ("After only three minutes his body will be all chewed up!"), and just as Ultraman is preparing to ganseki otoshi (meteor fall/power slam) Tsuifon, his Colour Timer begins to blink.
Wasting no time (well, ok, actually he did waste a few seconds trying to decide what to do), Ultraman hurls Tsuifon forward, but the alien warrior recovers quickly and instantly fires a red beam at Ultraman! Our hero is not quick enough on the draw and flies straight into it; he is caught in a ball of red light, and Tsuifon does a bit of telekinesis, freezing Ultraman in a spread-eagle pose. Tsuifon then flies straight up, and pile-drives his huge horn through Ultraman's Colour Timer!!! The apparatus shatters! Energy streams out from it as Ultraman yells in agony before his eyes go dark and he powers down. Tsuifon sends his inert body flying into space with a flick of his neck.

Banjou: Ul...Ultraman!!!...Ultraman, how can this be...?!

Taro yells the name of his fellow Super Fighter. Seven calls out his best friend's name. Kanegon is watching the fight on TV and cries out his idol worship's name too. Fuji sobs "You mustn't die!" All the humans watching call out for the red and silver giant, their voices echoing as one through space...
Meanwhile, Ultraman is floating in this psychedelic looking limbo. His eyes are dark, his armour is gone save his trademark arm bandage, his body is beaten up and his Colour Timer is smashed...

Ultraman

*thinking* I am not dead...I absolutely cannot die! I have a duty...Mefilas was a defender...to try and defend is my duty as well!...I must not die!!!

All of a sudden, a distant light begins to shine in his eye, and his broken Colour Timer too. Swirls of blue energy centre at his Colour Timer; the energy heals his wounds and repairs the timer itself, and something is now glowing around it...
Zoffy is watching, and is shocked.

Zoffy

Huh?! That's...

Ultra Father

The legendary eternal life of space...the Delta Star!

A strange blue delta (three-pointed star) is fast approaching Tsuifon, and Ultraman stands before him, arms akimbo. Tsuifon sneers, thinking this job's cut out for him, and punches Ultraman's Colour Timer. Far from damaging it in the least, the Delta Star is so strong a shield Tsuifon's own fist disintegrates! He roars out in pain, and launches into a spin attack, drilling at Ultraman's Colour Timer. Ultraman just stands there, letting Tsuifon do his best...

Ultraman

:

It's no use...Tsuifon! [The Delta Star sparks and there is a huge explosion]

Banjou

:

Ark! What's happened?!

...and what a best it is! When he finally stops he doesn't have much horn left on his head!
"Tsuuuiiifooon," he says in a defeated groan.
"Now this is me;" begins Ultraman, "and I will stop your journey right here and now. Specium! Ultra... Light... WAAAVE!"
Ultraman powers up and sends a blinding blaze of his most ultimate weapon flying at Tsuifon, who is first split in two then disintegrated completely by the awesome energy (an eyeball or two flies to the bottom left of the screen). The light dies down, and Ultraman returns to his normal form, unharmed.

Banjou

(screaming maniacally) HE...HE FINALLY DID IT! ULTRAMAN IS A HERO! HERO AMONG HEROES!!!

Prof. Notani

No, not just Ultraman. *removes his glasses and wipes away some tears* The hero...is in his...is in all of our hearts!!!

The last scenes are manga representations of Ultraman, the dead Mefilas in his arms. Hmm. Whaddya know, he appears to be crying. /!_!\

[Starting from the second-to-last scene mentioned above the theme song begins to play. Normally animated scenes still appear on screen; The sun comes out, and people rejoice. The monsters are all unhurt. 80 wiping away a tear and just nodding at Seven. They are as one mind; you know who about. Mura, Ide and Kiriyama talk and laugh. A damage survey is conducted--man what damage--and happy people revel at the sun's return. Ultra Father and Zoffy gaze at the Earth through a window. Zoom in on the space station mentioned in Part 2; Taro is trying to hold back tears for the loss of his mentor, but Jack puts his arm on the young Ultran's shoulder in an ''it'll be OK' gesture and nods. All the Ultra Warriors have been fully healed, and the last scene is of Ultraman from the back, with Mefilas in his arms, gazing at the Earth as a star slowly passes by...]
