Yamaguchi and Hagi

The following pictures were taken on a day trip to the cities of Yamaguchi and Hagi with Masanori-sensei, a man who took it upon himself to show me the best that Southern Japan has to offer. He certainly managed it on this particular trip: it was at height of plum blossom season, and the weather was balmy.

There's a law stating that you have to take this exact picture when you visit. I should have taken a shot of the queue of people lined up to take this shot...but I wasn't feeling cynical enough to think of it.
