Starting Sunday, December 3rd, 2000, the BVM will be activating an attendance policy. The policy is, as follows.
All troopers are required to attend 3 meetings in a 2 month period. All recruits are required to attend 4 meetings in a 2 month period. All BVM personel must attend a MINIMUM of 1 meeting every two months, the rest are able to be made up. To make up for a missed attendance you must contact an officer who was present at the meeting to get a brief overview of what we did. Please remind the officer to contact the Captain to confirm that you have made up the session.
If you fail to meet this criteria you will have to add one meeting to the criteria for the next 2 months. This added training session CAN NOT be made up, you must be at that added session. If this criteria is not made you will be placed on the 'at-large' list.
If you fail to attend any of the meetings we have in a 2 month period you will be placed on the at-large list. Being on the at-large list means you are not allowed to attend any BVM events untill you are taken off.
To be removed from the at-large list you must speak with an officer, preferably the Captain. The officer must then meet with the Captain to decide what you must do to get off the at-large list. If you remain on the at-large list for more then 6 months you will be removed from the BVM roster and will no longer be considered a member, you will however, be able to reapply in the future.
AS OF 12/18/00: All troopers wanting to make-up a session they will miss have to contact the Captain before the meeting and no later then 2 days after to make the meeting up or you will not be able to.
