Interview with Daniel Ludwig February 28, 2001
By: Mystery
Neocron Infoterm has posted the english version of their Interview with Daniel Ludwig. Here's some quotage:

3. How did you come to the Virtual City Project?

Connections. I happened to get in contact with Crusher and his brother some time ago via email. His brother answered one of my usenet entries (in which i "complained" that i hadnīt found a dumbhead (free translated) to pay me for my Hobby 3D programming), and said that Reakktor would be looking for people. I applied, and drove over to Hannover right away to have a look at them. They all were congenially and I simply refused to leave. A month later they actually paid me for my attendance, which made the whole thing even better.

Giga TV has posted an article on Neocron. It's in German, so a group calling themselves the Tribe Phlebiac has translated it for us.

Neocron Movie February 26, 2001
By: Mystery
The Official Downloads page for Reakktor now has a 42MB, 7 minute Official Video Teaser. Resolution is 320x240, and should give you a good glimpse of some combat shots and fly-throughs.

Movie Blurb February 23, 2001
By: Mystery
A post in the official forums from Bruce Crest let us in on the soon to be released Neocron downloadable move:

Okay everybody. I just saw the infamous movie. It still needs some final polishing, but it's pretty much done.

I am sure that you will agree that it has been worth the wait. ...At least, I've never seen an MMORPG like this

The bad news is: The first version we release (most likely this weekend) will be a 40 MB download. Another movie will be released (~2 minutes = 10 MB) a week after the release of the first one. It will be a shorter edit of the first movie.

Stay tuned...

Joerg Schwiezer Interview February 06, 2001
By: Mystery
Neoterm has just posted an interview with head developer for Neocron, Joerg Schwiezer. You can check it out here.

Interview Joerg Schwiezer January 24, 2001
By: Mystery
Joerg is the founder of Reakktor, the developer of Neocron. Here's a sample of what he had to say to RPG Planet:

There will be a very professional dedicated developer team working on Neocron after initial game has been released. We will try to let the world of Neocron live and evolve like our fans expect it. We will also listen closely to what the fans think about the game and will continue to improve.

You know that a game is never done. That is even more true for an MMORPG.

You can catch the rest of the interview here.
