We've all seen the fiasco of the asylum seekers over the last few years and the farcical way in which this ridiculous "New Labour" government has dealt with the problem. "Open the floodgates and let'em all in!" - until it's too late and terrorist Al-Quaida members are already here in force. So-called asylum seekers abscond and disappear into our communities illegally and with regularity, hiding in groups of their own countrymen, being sheltered by them illegally....

Not only should they be remorselessly sought out and deported, but anyone giving them a place to hide or aiding this criminality should be deported also. Does our small nation have to suffer the weight of foreign criminals? The increase in tax on you for spending on huge numbers of police to control this problem?

There appears to be a fairly simple answer although it's never been mentioned. Why...?

Firstly, let me make something quite clear. I don't have anything against people who genuinely seek asylum. I'm not a racist either. It doesn't matter to me one iota where they come from. They deserve the protection of the nations of this world and they should get it. But they need to be separated from the spongers, criminals and terrorists trying to get in, don't they?

Imagine this..... a system where applications for asylum can only be made to a British Embassy or Consulate outside Britain. Not after they arrive here.... Visas for anyone from outside the EU. (Sadly, due to EU law we have to let in any EU passport holders no matter where they originally come from.) Anyone flouting this would be automatically refused entry and deported without leave to appeal.

If we truly need those special workers from outside the EU such as nurses and doctors, why not do as the Australians do and actively employ them overseas where they can easily be screened?

There is one final point I would like to make. Why do most of the asylum seekers choose Britain to come to and refuse point blank to go to France, Italy, Holland, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Austria, etc., ad infinitum?   Because we're soft.   Because we're stupid. Because our Government is both of these..... and because you voted them in!
