Your column in Sunday Style is broad-ranging and thought provoking. Thanks very much for the tips.

Now if you're free and can't get to sleep, checking out the following websites might just do the trick he-he! :)

These obviously reflect my interests, and you may consider that the contents of some of these websites are a little above the heads of most of your readers. I leave it to you to include any or none of them in future editions of In-Site.

Hi Mr Murthi

Thank you for the William Blake Archive website address which was published yesterday (In-Site). I have been on a high look out for this website but failed to locate it.

I simply love English literature - website fishing is not an easy task. Good you made things much simpler and less painful for me.

How the attached website would be a blessing to students and other English literature lovers like me.

By the way do you know the website address where I could read the all about Gandhi and Nehru. I tried the Indian website......am not contented.

Thank you again and all the best to you!

Dear Mr. R S Murthi,

I love your reviews in In-Site. I didn't miss a single issue. The first thing I read on Sundays before reading Mingguan Malaysia. I was the Internal Auditor of Utusan (1982 to 1889) after I had left Coopers & Lybrand, now PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Please have a look at my humble Website. It was formerly at TopBytes.com. I had sold the domain and transfer its content back home at http://BestWebsites.com.my. Those guys at the Netscape's Open Project Directory had featured it as one of the best Websites (Selective Link Lists). Its still there since they have yet to update its database.

Traffic is picking up at BestWebsites.com.my. TopBytes.com was getting about 15,000 hits per month, mostly from outside Malaysian.

I'm the Compliance Manager of a legal firm (14 lawyers) in Sri Petaling handling mostly Kurnia Insurans's accident cases. If you are free, please call me at 03-9057 4998.

How about some words in your review about SiteCritique.net?

Subject: In-Site website recommendations
To: stratslinger@yahoo.com

Greetings from Octopus Online. I'd like to recommend to your In-Site section, two websites spawned out of Octopus Online. They are Lavish.com.my and Styleaxis.com.

Lavish.com.my is a web-based lifestyle magazine catering to the fine style and luxe living of the select few with a taste for the more exquisite. It is aimed at a high-end international market with a highly disposable income. It promotes luxury lifestyle choices in couture, fine dining, cigars, design, the arts and travel.

Styleaxis.com is a new web site solely devoted to fashion and style. Our coverage will be global as well as local. Our coverage will include fashion capitals such as Milan, Paris, London, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong..

On the local scene we will be focusing on Malaysian and Asian brands, fashion houses with boutiques in Malaysia as well as other retail outlets ranging from trainers, perfumes, skincare, watches, jewellery and textiles. Styleaxis.com will always keep abreast of the best bargains, new store openings, trends, and local designers. Styleaxis.com fashion editors attend the shows in Milan, Paris and Hong Kong every season and report from Europe.

Design houses and fashion brands range from the big movers like Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Giorgio Armani, Valentino, Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Lacroix, Helmut Lang, and Christian Dior to those on the cutting edge like Daryl K, Hussein Chalayan, Viktor & Rolf, Martin Margiela, Junya Watanabe and John Richmond.

We are currently developing our section devoted to The World of Jane Sleek where we will feature weekly new acquisitions in Jane’s wardrobe, home, workplace and lovelife. Where does Jane like to shop, what’s her favourite evening-shoe brand, where does she buy her clubwear, what kind of lipgloss does she wear and what goes between her and her Calvin’s?

Do check out the website and see it for yourself just what's up the sleeves of these sensational websites.

Dear RS Murthi,

First of all congrats on your album reviews. Perceptive, sincere, honest and cool, they're a good guide when I shop around for music.

As someone who has been in the music scene for years and is well versed in the business, I'd like to reccommend you check out this local band called Blown Fuse.

They're different from the rest out there today and if you don't believe me, just download their demo (in MP3 format)from their website and you'll see why they're hitting the right chords and all. Cool stuff and it would be worth your while to check them out. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Hi there,

I don't know your name but I like your site. I was looking at your page under the category RainForest on Geocities. I could not help noticing how unique it was. I have seen many other RainForest related pages, but none as compelling as yours.

Like you, I am also a person who is also very interested in the subject of the environment. I have been heavily interested in the environment all my life, but just recently got involved. I am 25 and live in California. I consider myself lucky because there are so many evironmental related activities that go on here.

I would appreciate an email back from you. Tell me a little about yourself and why you decided to build your great site. I have been thinking of building one of my own, but it's so intimidating. I don't claim to know a whole lot about computers. Since I have visited your site however, I have a lot more confidence to do it. Can you give me a few pointers?

Hey I got to run now, but I sincerely hope you take the time to reply back.

Subject: The WABA Website

The World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) is a global network of organisations and individuals who believe breastfeeding is the right of all children and mothers and who devote themselves to protect, promote and support that right. WABA was formed as an umbrella network of organisations and individuals who believe breastfeeding is the right of all children and mothers, and who dedicate themselves to acting on the right. Coordination of various activities and campaigns is done by the WABA Secretariat which is based in Penang, Malaysia.
In Dec '96, WABA organised its Global Forum in Bangkok, Thailand. As WABA was working with a tight budget, partial fellowships were offered to some participants while most participants fundraised for or covered their own participation costs. Over 350 participants from 82 countries participated in the Forum.
Many WABA partners and friends could not make it to Bangkok. To enable them to follow and participate in the daily proceedings, Denise Arcoverde, executive director of ORIGEM, Brazil, a WABA volunteer, on her own initiative took the opportunity to fundraise for a seedgrant to start a website for WABA.
With a small grant from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) which helped to cover two fellowships and rental for the internet set-up during the WABA Global Forum, and the probono design and support services of a multi-media design firm based in Brazil, the WABA website was launched in Bangkok in December 1996.
From the initial objective of enabling those who could not attend the WABA Global Forum to participate via cyberspace, the WABA website grew to become one of WABA's key advocacy and social mobilisation tool.
Through the website, two major WABA campaigns, World Breastfeeding Week, 1-7 August and ILO Convention on Maternity Protection have made tremendous impact in stimulating and enhancing individual and group action at all levels. On the whole, the goal of the website is to spur social mobilisation, global advocacy and community networking to promote, protect and support breastfeeding through the World Wide Web.
