The examinator was Satotsu and he made all 404 people run for more than 100 km in a long dark tunnel. Then he made them run up a long flight of stairs. after reaching the top and making them rest for a while, Satotsu made everybody run across a swamp which made many victims.

The examinators were Buhara and Menchi. Buhara is a fat dude who wants the group to make roasted pigs. He eats about 70 complete pigs thus eating more than 5 times his body... Menchi is more of a normal person but wants the 70 people to make Sushi. This almost nobody knows what it is except for the ninja guy. Kulapika then says what it is to Leorio but he yells it out, surprised. Everybody goes out and gets the fish. Stuff happens and read the manga guide...

One of the funkyest tests because it's some kind of prison but the tower has many "games" and other cool stuff in it. The group started on top of the tower and had to go down it in less than 72 hours. First of all the group had to find a door to get into the tower, so they walked around and suddenly a secret door revealed itself underneath their foot!!! So stuff happened and Gon and his group managed to get to the bottom of the tower.

Everybody remaining (24 people) got a random number. This number corresponded to the number on someones chest. (The order they arrived at the Hunter examination) Gon being unlucky got 44, which was Hisoka's number. What he had to do, like everyone else, was to steal his number plaque on him without getting killed. This would give him three points. Concerning the points you started off with 3 points (your own plaque) and you had to reach 6 to win. 3+3=6 So basically if you keep yours and get your "victim's" you would go on to the next level.
