- Idril - (elf) She is the daughter of Turgon and the mother of Eärendil.
She is married to Tuor, and she lived in the hidden city of Gondolin.
- Imrahil - (human)
- Indis - (elf)
- Isildur - (human) He is the son of Elendil, brother of Anarion, and
the father of Valandil. He cut the One Ring off of the finger of Sauron thus weakening him. He
refused the advice of Elrond and Círdan by keeping the ring as a memento rather than destroying
it. He was killed by orcs in the Anduin river.
