  1. Faramir - (human) He is the son of Denethor and the younger brother of Boromir.

  2. Fëanor - (elf) The son of Finwë, he created the famed Silmarils and is considered the greatest craftsman of the Noldor. After the death of his father, he made a rash oath along with his sons vowing to pocess the silmarils once again. He persuaded many of the Noldor to come with him to Middle-earth, using the lies of Morgoth. When the Teleri refused to let the Noldor use their ships, Fëanor attacked them, forcibly taking the ships. Abandoning the host following Fingolfin, Fëanor sailed across the sea and then burned the wondrous ships of the Teleri. He was killed in battle shortly after reaching Middle-earth.

  3. Fili - (dwarf) A member of the Company led by Gandalf, which was journeying to the Lonely Mountain. His brother was Kili. He died in the Battle of the Five Armies protecting Thorin's body.

  4. Finarfin - (elf) He is the son of Finwë and he married Eärwen of Alqualonde. He is the father of Finrod, Orodreth, Angrod, Aegnor, and Galadriel. Finarfin originally went with the departing Noldor, but he decided to remain in the west after the kinslaying and the curse of Mandos.

  5. Finduilas - (elf) She is the daughter of Orodreth and Dwelt at Nargothrond. Gelmir was in love with her but she fell in love with Turin. She was captured in the Fall of Nargothrond, and was killed by orcs when they came under attack. She was burried at Haudh-en-Elleth.

  6. Fingolfin - (elf) He is the son of Finwë and the brother of Finarfin and half-brother of Fëanor. He is the father of Fingon, Turgon, and Aredhel. After Fëanor's treachery, Fingolfin led the Noldor across Helcaraxë. He was the High king of the Noldor and dwelt in Hithlum, with most of his people living in Mithrim. He was killed by Melkor after challenging him to a fight. It was said that he had the appearance of Oromë while charging the gates of Thangorodrim. His body was taken up by Thorondor, the eagle.

  7. Fingon - (elf) He is the son of Fingolfin and high king of the Noldor for a time. He dwelt in Dor-Lómin while Fingolfin lived. Fingon died in the fifth battle against Morgoth: Nirnaeth Arnoediad. He was killed by Gothmog, lord of the Balrogs, when another Balrog attacked him from behind.

  8. Finrod Felagund - (elf) He is the son of Finarfin and brother of Turgon and Galadriel. Also known as Nóm, which means "Wisdom", he was the ruler of Nargothrond, which was one of the realms hidden to Melkor. He gave his life in battle with Sauron (the were-wolf) in order to save Beren. He gave his ring to Barahir, the father of Beren, and it became an heirloom of the kings of Gondor.

  9. Finwë - (elf) He is one of the original three elves. He is the father of Fëanor, Fingolfin, and Finarfin. He was married to and he was remarried to . He was slain by Melkor while protecting the silmarils.

  10. Frodo Baggins- (hobbit) He is also known as one of the ring bearers and the nine-fingered. He is the son of Drogo Baggins and Primula Brandybuck and the heir of Bilbo.
