Dear Sir/Mdme,
> > I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. Recently I registered for a web page account at your geocities homepage to make a homepage there. However, the page has now disappeared and a page stating that "this page does not exist" comes up. I don't know who to email about this, but if you could please forward this message to that person I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance for your kind cooperation. > > Sincerely yours, > > Nicholas
Hi Nick,
Go to http://geocities.yahoo.com/home/ and
sign in using your passwords
the next page you get
to click on the "Go To File Manager" Link....this should open up
to your personal file manager at Geocities......
Check an make sure you
have an index page...if you don't have one you need to make one, hit the
back button and go to "help in getting started" and use the page
maker program provided there to assist you.
If its there, check
and make sure your typing in the correct address....
>>now when i log in vonelle.geo, i should have all my stuff, but all there is is index.html, and machu.gif, when you go to http://www.oocities.org/vonelles <<
If I
understand this right you changed your username to vonelle from vonelles. Did
you do thins in Profile manager or did you just sign up with a different name?
Apparently from what I can see the vonelles site is still there....so try your
old passwords. Hit the sign in button for a different account and use the old
passwords.
If
they don't work use the password lookup...apparently vonelles is still the
username for the site and your old information should still be there the
password may have changed. There is no way for us to determine that....you
have to use there password lookup to be able to access the site http://www.oocities.org/vonelles
or you haven't waited long enough for the changes to be made on Yahoo's
servers.
If by
locked out you mean your passwords don't work there are several reasons you
may be getting the "Invalid Password" or "Invalid ID"
error message. The most common reasons are as follows:
A cookie is a small piece of information stored by your browser that helps identify who you are. If your cookie is not being accepted correctly, you will be logged out of your account as soon as you move to a different page. This may be blocking your current ability to log in or stay logged in. Try shutting all of your browser's windows, and then deleting the cookie files in your browser's directories. Usually, these files will be called simply "Cookies." As always, be sure that you have selected the proper files before deleting.
