Signs Agreement With Yahoo! to Provide iTalk(TM) Phone-Based Audio
Streaming
Technology for Yahoo! NetRoadshow Events'
COLORADO
SPRINGS, Colo., May 2 /PRNewswire/ -- TellSoft Technologies, Inc. today
announced an agreement with Yahoo! Inc. (Nasdaq: YHOO), a leading global
Internet communications, commerce and media company, that will make
TellSoft's iTalk streaming telephone-based audio service available to
Yahoo!(R) NetRoadshow customers in the investment banking community.
The
agreement adds to the comprehensive suite of Internet broadcasting
solutions offered by Yahoo! NetRoadshow and will allow investment banks
and analysts to record and publish vital information to investors and
others on a daily basis as streamed voice content on the web.
Yahoo!
NetRoadshow provides a full range of Internet broadcasting solutions and
tools for the investment banking community. Services include the
broadcasts of equity and debt roadshows, analyst presentations and
institutional investor conferences. The investment community has embraced
virtual presentations, such as the ones delivered by Yahoo! NetRoadshow,
as a cost-effective tool to increase investor awareness and to complement
traditional roadshow presentations. Now, TellSoft's iTalk technology,
which offers delivery of information in real-time with the ease of use of
a telephone, enhances these services by adding a user-friendly,
accessible, and attractive means of communicating with investors.
"This
agreement illustrates the growing importance of voice on the
Internet," said Bill Tomeo, TellSoft's president and chief executive
officer. "With its iTalk Server, TellSoft was a pioneer in offering
live telephone-to-Internet voice publishing. We were a natural choice for
Yahoo!, which pioneered Internet broadcasting of roadshows for the
investment community through its Yahoo! NetRoadshow service.
Tomeo
added: "We believe that by using TellSoft's iTalkWeb (instant voice
web publishing) and iTalkLive (live phone-based Internet broadcasting)
services, investment banks have the opportunity to significantly increase
their communication with investors, helping them to retain customers,
increase loyalty, and ultimately boost their bottom line."
"TellSoft's
service will provide our investment banking customers and their analysts
with the ability to record and publish voice commentaries using a
touch-tone phone from anywhere at anytime," said Brad Hammond, vice
president and general manager, Yahoo! NetRoadShow. "We are pleased to
add this feature to the other services we offer including the broadcasts
of roadshows, analyst presentations, and investment banking conferences
over the Internet."
