Stink Bugs - Subfamily Podopinae

Protestrica sp., body length 12mm
 
We found this bug on gum tree trunk once in Alexandra Hill during early summer. The bug was small in size and dark brown in colour. Its U-shaped scutellum covered up to abdomen tip. We only found this bug once.

In a hot summer day in Karawatha Forest, we found the bug was attacking by ants on a gum tree trunk.
