The trip continues... 11/01/05 - 01/04/05

(that's January through April for you foreigners)

Jan 11 -
Arrived in Kingman, met more friends from the internet, in particular members of ARM

A new friend, John and his wife Cora have put me up in their spare room in Golden Valley, Arizona.  Some 8 miles from Kingman.

Flew from Las Vegas to San Jose then went down to Big Sur with my friend from New Years Eve. (Phoebe) We stayed in the most incredible resort and watched whales swimming by whilst having lunch.

Now that I am back in Kingman, AZ a new found friend has offered me a room to rent, So I have moved into Big Mike's house.

Feb -

Drove back to L.A. and went to the Gette Centre, Wow, what an art collection, but alas my "limo" blew a radiator hose and I had to leave my beast on the side of the interstate over night.

To my amazement it was still there AND intact the next day when I returned to repair her.  Hose fixed and needing water I drove down Sunset Boulevard, at the next set of lights asked the driver next to me, "Hey mate, where's the nearest gas station" and again to my amazement Patrick Harris (aka Doogie Howser) replied from the  car beside me "Oh, about five miles straight down"

Two days later I attended the funeral of the land lord of my friend Marianne's with whom I stayed when I first came to the USA back in December 04.

The next day it was back to my new home in Kingman, Arizona.

Now let me tell you about Vegas from an Aussie point of view.

  1. Busy

  2. Bright lights

  3. Busy

  4. Expensive

Now they have a restaurant!! called "The Outback"  Australian food??? Only problem is that I can't remember eating "cheesie fries" or "Chocolate thunder from down under", Shit, they even have a "Joey menu".. Hell, I never fed baby roos.

Late Feb -

Took a flight from Vegas to Bowling Green, Kentucky where I met a lot of friends I had never met who were Biker's in ARM

I had the best three days of my life in recovery ever & am, at the time of writing, now a member of ARM.

On the return flight from Kentucky to Nevada I met a chick who was from Oz but now resides in Vegas, so it was fun listening to her yank/Oz twang.

March -

Back in Kingman, but not for long.

Road trip 1.  Took a trip to Vegas and stayed at the MGM Grand Casino.  I saw a show at New York New York, Zoomanity, an "R" rated Circ De Sole.  If you get a change to see this show watch out for the girls giving out "strawberries".

Road trip 2.  Back to Vegas again for the "Con Expo" the biggest earth moving trade show I will ever see.  Held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, it was so big that I spent all day there and never saw it all.

Road trip 3.  Took a ride with my friends from Kingman to Tombstone, Arizona.  Approximately 800 Miles (1280Km) over three days.  I rode a 750 Maximum X and had a great time and great ride.  Good friends, good roads, good weather - it only rained for part of the trip.

So much for being in the desert. HA!

Road trip 4.  Kingman to Grand Junction Colorado.  Myself, Big Mike, and Capital.  Took Capital's truck (UTE) to pick up my new 1986 FLHTC (Garbage Truck) Whilst in Colorado had to go to the Grand Mesa Mountains, Hmmm, Snow, Cold, Snow, Cold.  I now understand why US bikers trailer from home to an event sometimes.  See Photos.

I also met a local US Marshall, Marshall Tom.  Hell of a nice guy and a Harley owner to boot!

April -

I am again back in Kingman Arizona starting to prepare for the Laughlin River Run (a biker party)

Since arriving in December of 2004 I have:
