After thinking long and hard about different types and
brands, i finally decided to go for the Graupner B-28.
Unfortunately it can not be delivered at the moment because it's brand new, but
the order has been placed at 2 Brothers in
Bussum.
Till then i'll have to wait 'till it's in, and then BUILDING!
The selected motor is a Graupner Ultra 3500-6M.
This motor is up to 30 volts, has built-in water cooling, including the
brushes, and is very powerful: optimum RPM is at 10500 t/min with 722 W power
consumption.
This motor requires a special speed controller, because not every one is up to
the job.
I went for the Graupner Power Mos 75. It can cope with up to 32 cells, and can
be loaded continuously with 75 ampères.
Top speed of this boat should be around 75-85 km/h, so who says electric can't
be fast?!!
In the States they even take it a step further, since they've reached about 150
km/h with an electrically driven boat.
This is about how it should look in the future; paintbrushes galore...
