Dumbledore's Man (Unfairly) (PG) by Agnes Bean. This isn't how Scrimgeour expected things to go. One shot.

The Durmstrang Chronicles (R-ish) by Loup Noir. Okay, this is a bit complicated. The first two are mostly gen; there's bits of (uncondoned by the protagonist) teacher/older student relationships. The later Chronicles tend to be either borderline or not gen at all, but they're all very good. This is the story of the Dark Arts professors at Durmstrang. It's about as dark as the name implies. Full of interesting and well rounded OCs. Novel length fics and one shots.

Dust (PG-13) by Amber. I'm usually not a big fan of 9/11 tributes, but this one is unbelievable. Hogwarts is a disaster zone, and Percy just keeps on working away at it. Sad. One shot.

Estate of Sirius Black v Minister of Magic (R) by George Pushdragon. Like the title says: Post-OotP, Sirius Black's estate sues the Ministry. I especially like Fudge in this fic, and the counsel for the defense is Mr Tromedlov *g*. One shot.

Fall On Your Knees (PG-13) by Ivy Blossom. Some mention of het crushes. Millicent Bulstrode's story, before she came to Hogwarts. Darkfic, though perhaps not in the traditional sense. One shot.

The Familiar and the Family (PG) by Donna Immaculata. One tiny bit of Peter/Sirius. Peter's first few weeks with the Weasleys. One shot.

The Family Album Series (G and PG) by Nineveh. Bits of canon couples, but mostly gen. A series of stories about Blacks at various times. Nineveh makes them real people, not divided into pure good and evil. The link to Ch. 1 of The Photographs doesn't work; go to the second chapter and hit 'Back' to access it, or go here. One shots and a two-chapter fic.

The Family Honor (G) by Rynne. The day that Sirius' name was blasted off of the Black Tapestry, from Regulus' POV. One shot.

Fantastic Beasts: A two-parchment essay for Care of Magical Creatures by Sirius Black (PG) by Mary Borsellino. Sirius attempts an essay on Fantastic Beasts, but gets a little hung-up on one part of the book. One shot.

A Father and his Son (PG-13) by Bunney. Lucius and Draco have a chat. Not at all nice. One shot.

Father Figure (G?) by JiM. The setting is a Harry/OFC wedding, but I'd say it's pure gen. Snape is asked to stand for Harry Potter's wedding. One shot.

Fed, Dorge, and the Unwitting Babysitter (PG-13) by Trillian Black. The Weasleys hire a babysitter to take care of their youngest children. Hilarious. One shot.

fictionkill (G) by fivil. Harry still remembers some things. Sad. One shot.

Fidelis (G) by Catherine Cook. The adventures of Snape and the Beanie Baby Hermione gives him. Cute and silly. Chaptered fic, most likely abandoned.

Filter (PG) by lupercali. With Sirius gone, Harry tries to understand his father's last friend. One shot.

Fine Figure of a Woman (PG?) by Bernice. Snape strikes up a conversation with Mrs. Black's portrait. Amusing and rather IC for both of them. One shot.

Fine With Her (PG) by Laura Smith. Hermione's early life, and how she feels when she gets her Letter. I'm not sure if Hermione is really this smart, but other than that I like her characterization. One shot.

First Day of School (PG) by HumanTales. Minerva McGonagall performs a ritual before her first day as Headmistress. Hopeful. One shot.

First Kiss (PG-13?) by Bernice. Snape's thoughts as he's about to be kissed by a Dementor. Impossibly angsty, but Bernice pulls it off without losing momentum or the reader's emotional investment. One shot.

The First Signs of Magic Series (PG?) by Icarus. So far there's Draco, Hermione, and Snape. It's pretty self-explanatory: the first time these three displayed powers. Fluff, humor, and angst. Each is a one shot.

First Snow (PG) by Fabula Rasa. Professor Snape reminisces about an old injury. One shot.

First Steps (PG) by Bugland. Link goes to intertexius.com; enter and select 'Vignettes' to read the fic. Little Severus walks down to the lake with his father for the very first time. One shot.

Five Dead Women (R) by Snegurochka. Some very, very minor het. This fic explores the link between several Potterverse women and what they had in commmon. Dark. One shot.

The five deaths of Harry Potter (R) by jezzabe. Different people remember the way Harry Potter died, or didn't die. One shot.

The Five Steps (PG) by Ari. How Harry deals with Sirius' death. It feels very real. Two chapters.

Five Ways Sirius Black Never Returned From the Dead by Allecto. There are references that could be considered romantic, but I read it as gen. As the title implies, five possible ways that Sirius could come back from beyond the Veil. One shot, made up of five vignettes.

Flitterblooms and Firewhiskey (G) by Red Monster and michelle_31a. We all know Hermione doesn't care for Luna. So how did she manage to ask Luna to set up the Quibbler interview? Chaptered.

Flower Children (PG?) by Lasayla. Petunia remembers both of her sisters. Angsty. One shot.

A Flying Commentary (PG-13) by MamaLaz. After Draco is cut from the Quidditch team, he enjoys an eventful trial run as commentator. Fun. One shot.

The Forecast for Azkaban (G) by Nineveh. Albus listens to the weather forecast for Rockall Island, and reflects on Bellatrix Lestrange. Short one shot.

four thousand two hundred and sixty (PG?) by kel. I guess it could be Sirius/Remus if you squint hard, but I consider it pure gen. Sirius counting days in Azkaban. One shot.

Fourteen Fathoms (PG) by Vain. Snape discovers something disturbing about Harry and acts . . . like Snape. Angsty. One shot.

Framework (PG) by Morgan. How did Harry get his glasses anyway? It doesn't seem like the Dursleys would spring for them. One shot.

Frayed (PG) by Sarah H. George Weasley realizes that he's growing apart from his twin. Creepy. One shot.

From Portrait to Portrait (PG) by ava_ked. Phineas Nigellus, walking through the portraits looking for Sirius. One shot.
