What inspired this project?
It began with a gift from comic artist, Ron Boyd and began to take shape as a result of all the “experiences” I have undergone in Toronto around my cancer treatment.  This was amplified with other unexpected circumstances like SARS. See a sampler of the introductory page for more detail.

Is it true?  Is a SECOND DTL going to happen?
Yes! As of August 2005, we decided that there was enough interest and participants on the table to go forward with a second volume.  If you want to participate as a contributor, contact Suley Fattah

When is your second volume being published? What is it called?
December 2005 was our original launch date but as of Sept 2005 big changes have happened.  Read more here or check out our new NewsBlog.  In short, we now are anticipating an April 2006 launch of the second volume, DRAWING THE LINE AGAIN, Another Book of Comics Benefting Cancer Research (DTL2).

Why are you doing a second one?
We have had an overwhelmingly positive response to the first book, particularly from the non-comic community. We are anxious and hopeful that a second volume will give the whole project validity and propel it further into the “main stream” so we may accomplish our project goals. We are very keen to not only raise money for Cancer Research and to raise awareness around health and well-being, but we are also interested in promoting and partnering new artists with legends of the industry. This project ,be it the first DTL or DTL2, encompasses all of that.
