Some quick facts about the book
The project is a black-and-white book of 104 pages comprising the works of 35 contributors with unique stories on health and well-being. Its origin stems from the project coordinator’s (Suley Fattah) experiences during treatment for lymphoma cancer.
It is 6” x 9” (15.25 cm x 23.5 cm) and weights about 0.46 lbs (.209 kg) and has a colour cover.
The book features a wonderful collection of stories ... some four pages long, some are longer, while others a “pin-up” (1 page of art) ... all in a comic-book style layout.
The purpose of the book is multifaceted:
1/. To recognize, acknowledge and thank the many healthcare workers who affected Suley Fattah during his cancer treatment.
2/. To bring together a unique book of art showcasing health and wellbeing in a graphic novel format.
3/. To raise money for cancer research so that others may have a chance at the extremely positive expereince Suley had while going through cancer treatment.
100% of the proceeds of the sale of the comic go directly towards cancer research through two fantastic hospital foundations.
