Dawn of a New day

Time has passed
the fire dies
the ashes settled
Forgotten past?
No.....never
written here
in the pages
of my heart
Bitter memories
left unsettled
end of a chapter
beginning of a new one
happier memories
smiling faces
youthful glow
no tomorrow
only now
not even the past matters
perfect circle
united at last
no promises
no expectations
makes sense to me
my soul calms
my heart beats
my eyes shine
dawn of a new day
