Sacrificing
Sacrificing is the act of offering up weapons or armor to Gaia, the goddess
of the Lycanthropes. It is what determines the strength of your wereform,
which makes effective sacrificing extremely important.
Armor
Sacrificing armor is easy. All sacrifices will increase
your natural armor. The more protective the armor that is sacrificed, the
more it increases your natural armor. As long as you have any armor power
at all, you will get some protection while in wereform. It is only when it
is completely empty that you are most vulnerable.
The most effective way to sacrifice armor is just
to make sure it never runs out completely. It is often useful to sacrifice
a bunch of armor to give yourself several changes worth. Then, you can renew
some armor periodically as you play.
Weapons
Sacrificing weapons is a bit more complex than armor.
Each form has a certain number of weapon shards. Each one contributes
equally to the offensive power of that form. If all are filled, the form
does damage at full capability. The important thing to remember is that the
power of the form is divided equally over all its shards. That is, an easy
sac in the first category is just as valuable to fill as one in the highest
category for that form. So, make sure to get the easy ones in place and keep
them full all the time. This will guarantee at least a minimal amount of
offensive power.
Sacrifice Values
A big question for lycanthropes is what shard a certain
weapon falls into. I have started this list in the hopes that everyone will
help me add to it and correct it when it is wrong. As always, you can

The armor table describes the approximate order of from best to worst in terms of their sacrifice value. Remember that the best armor to sacrifice is not always the best armor to wear, so other guilds' assestments of equipment may not be applicable for lycs.
The weapon table shows which shard a given weapon fills when sacrificed. Remember that no gxp is earned for sac of a weapon away from the altar, but the full shard value is always obtained no matter where it is sacced. Since some of the high values ones are uniques with quick reset times, it is sometimes better to sac it right away to be safe even though no gxp is earned.
