T2 and TS Combat Procedures!

***For Chatroom Combat***

T2 is generally the strategic choice of combat for the faster typists but in the case of True Carpathian chat room combat there will be a moderator that will be the referee and the defender will have a chance to defend and then counter-attack before the attacker continues. T2 is widely misunderstood; often you will find a number of Yahoo! Role-play realms suggest that T2 is 4-4-3, 7-7-6, or any number of ### patterns.

Understand that 7-7-6 was a Veteran implementation to the style several years ago, I suppose it stuck.

Out of boredom, I suppose, and a far greater interest in this style of Chat room combat, I am going to teach you the True layout of T2 Fighting as it pertains to The True Carpathians.

Attacking -

There are only 3 Requirements in this layout to attack properly:

A - You clearly state the Body's Target.
B -"+1"> You clearly state what you are trying to connect to it with.
C - You clearly state HOW you are going to attack (This includes using Carpathian or Vampire powers).

Hell, as far as I care, you can add as much flavor into the style as you wish- though it's not required. Those mere things included, more or less will average out to be about 8 words a line, if you can do it in less, then you are far better off.

Tusk swings his arm across his chest [C], meat-cleaver in hand [B], toward Ester's collarbone [A].

This included everything.

Connecting -

In T2 chat room fighting you are allowed to continue typing right after you've entered an attack, and this is your connecting the attack.

There is one requirement in connecting, and That is DESCRIBING the amount of logical damage inflicted upon your opponent.

Be realistic, I implore, damage is dealt depending on your the character's weapon, where she is attacking, and how much force she has behind it. An undercut swing with a knife at the shoulder, will NOT sever any Limbs- though it will gash the flesh.

A mallet on top of the head, will probably knock someone unconscious, break their neck, or crush their skull.

Yes, that brings me to another point, You can kill someone in ONE SHOT, as long as legitimately you both decide on T2 (Since T1 is the Default Fighting Style and is not used in True Carpathian Chat room combat).

Tusk grimaces when blood spattered his forehead, the Cleaver gouging into an artery just above the throat.

Notice how it didn't cut off her head, it makes a death far more interesting if it isn't instantaneous.

Defending -

This is the real deal, this determines whether a character lives for yet another attack. The requirements to Defend are exactly the same save for one, they are:

A - Describe how you evaded the blow.
B - If you choose to, Describe how you Counter-Attack (with the ATTACK requirements).

Counter attacking is very confusing, but very fluent, and very neat to simply watch... if two opponents are good T2'ers.

Ultimately, evading the blow is the most important part.

Ester twisted her body beneath the attack while falling onto her back [A], kicking her heel in front of her at Tusk's Knee [B].

If you decide to counter attack, you may continue typing your connection directly afterward. If not, which is probably the smartest thing to do (less typing), then all the steps start over (whoever punches out their next phrase/attack first has the most advantage).

What a Fight should look like:

Tusk swings his arm across his chest [C], meat-cleaver in hand [B], toward Ester's collarbone [A].

Ester twisted her body beneath the attack while falling onto her back [A], kicking her heel in front of her at Tusk's Knee [B].

Tusk grimaces when blood spattered his forehead, the Cleaver gouging into an artery just above the throat.

Ester feels the bone buckle beneath her foot, dislodging the kneecap.

Tusk, even though he wrote his Connection, missed - because Ester punched out her defense before hand. Ester's Connection was legitimate because Tusk didn't defend in that time frame.

Lastly - I wrote that with above average flavor for the Default.

***Type Superior or TS***

Type Superior is just a modification of it's lower form, also known as Type 2. The only difference now is that there are more words to type than the time before. All rules still apply from Type 2 except the word amount has grown to a minimum of 15 words for your attack, 15 words for your connection, and 10 words for your dodge.

Below will be an example of TS....

Thor: Angered by Albert's ignorant words of wisdom he stood from the chair he occupied, his right hand reaching up and pulling the dagger out from under the clothing that adorned his left wrist, now clutching it, and glaring toward Albert.

Albert: he wondered what he had done wrong, but wasn't about to find out from an attack, taking the defensive, he reaches down to his right thigh, pulling a 3 foot sword, dangling it from his side as he still sits in the chair. I was only setting the stage once more, this had nothing to do with an attack as you can easily see. Keep in mind the Minimum is 15 words for your attack, 15 words for your connection, and 10 words for your dodge.

Thor: he rushed toward Albert, now lowering the dagger in his right hand, blade facing the throat of Albert in which he would keep this direct course.
If it were to hit....

Thor: the blade would slice through his throat, causing blood to spill onto his hand, and the dagger, he then pulled back, his right foot arising onto the chair to help with leverage pulling the blade out.
The dodge...

Albert: he put the sword up directly in front of the oncoming hand, either Thor would switch the direction of his hand, or it would be a nasty wound.
Magic still applies the same as it did in T2, except once again you have to add more words to your attack.
