GOLD WING MOTOR BIKES The Honda Gold Wing was first
produced in 1975 with a 1000cc Tourer no fairing. It got a very bad press
report in 1980. It was redesigned as a 1100cc with a fairing and top and
side boxes. It got a fair press report, but in 1984 it took a complete
change, more styling, 1200cc Engine, with a good press report. Then in 1988
it became a real super tourer complete new look, more luggage space and a
super 1500cc engine, 6 cylinder engine, but then changed very little until
September 2001 when they came up with 1800cc engine ABS brakes, fuel
injection, more styling. Come over to our stand and have a chat, who knows

BOND
BUG CLUB The Bond Bug was
designed by Karen of Ogle design and was launched in June 1970. Prior to the
launch the press were heralding the car as the vehicle to be seen in and
also the transport of the future. The Bug was a very bold design
specifically aimed at the younger motorist combining the economies of
three-wheeled motoring with a sporty image. The Bug used a modified version
of the forth coming Reliant Robin chassis as it's base with the rest of the
mechanical package coming from the then current Reliant Regal. There is a
one-piece canopy, which tills forward on a gas strut to allow entry. Inside
there are 2 moulded seats and a conventional dash. An interesting feature
about the seats are they don't move for or aft, if you wanted to adjust your
seats you either took out padding from the seat or placed more padding. The
vehicle was only available in one colour and as you can see it was Orange.
The hoot lid was made of wood and was designed to he used as a notice board
as a road safty feature. So that you could not stick stickers to the rear
window which would obscure your rearward vision. Bug production came to an
end in 1974 in order for Reliant to concentrate on the new Robin. There were
approximately 2,270 Bugs produced of which there are thought to be about
650-700 are believed to be still in existence today. There is a thriving
owners Club for which details can be found by visiting the Bug Stand. 740. 19900 Talbot Eldis Autoquest Reg. No. G543
