Word
of the Day/
Topic of the Day |
- Presents
the Word of the day, using it in a sentence. Each person
speaking attempts to use the given word in the course
of the meeting.

Presents the Topic of the day; a topic of his/her own
choosing. Each person speaking gives a 1-2 minute discourse
on the topic.

Table
Topics |
- Explains
Table Topics to the group, if visitors are present. A
question or statement or scenario is presented; it is
up to the speaker to speak for 1-2 minutes about this
topic.

Conducts Table Topics, calling upon any member that does
not have an assigned role for the meeting.

Speaker |
- Presents
a manual speech, working towards their CTM,
ATM, etc
|
Evaluator |

Gives a 1-2 minute evaluation of the Speaker's speech,
concentrating on those points the speaker has chosen as
his/her goal for that speech as well as following the
recommendations in the manual.

Timer |
- Being
a good speaker includes the ability to express your thoughts
in a given amount of time. Times are pre-assigned for
each meeting exercise. The timer clocks each person and
reports the times, to help attain our goal of being precise.

Ah/Ur/Er
Counter |
- Ah/Ur/Er
and other 'fillers' are counted and reported. It is up
to the counter to pay close attention to anyone that speaks.

Grammarian |
- Correct
use of the English language is important. The grammarian
listens for repetitive and/or incorrect use of correct
grammar.

Quiz
Master |
- Listening
is part of speaking. The Quiz Master quizzes the persons
present, in an informal, fun manner, to see how well everyone
was listening.

Master
Evaluator |
- The
Master Evaluator pays close attention to everything that
happens at a meeting. He/she notes if something happens
that shouldn't or doesn't happen that should.
- Was
the Club Banner displayed?
- Did
the meeting begin on time?
- Were
all the reports given?
- Were
evaluations upbeat and constructive, or just a repetition
of what the speaker said?

Joke
Master |
- The
person in charge of the Joke of the day tells a joke that
is clean, humorous and well prepared.
