If members are unable to attend a meeting:

Being a Toastmaster means more than simply making a commitment to self-development. Everyone who joins a Toastmasters Club is making a commitment to the Club, to its members and to the organization as a whole. Part of the Toastmaster's Promise is to attend Club meetings regularly. There may be occasions when you have a conflict and cannot attend a meeting. The agenda sign up list has a place to sign if you know you will not be present at a specific meeting. When the sign up list is passed around at the meetings, please make a notation of your expected absence. When you let others know you will be absent you are making it easier for the Toastmaster to plan the meeting. It also saves your fellow members the anxiety of worrying about you. We care about our members, and miss them when they are not present at meetings.
