CALCIUM - Deborah T. Maxon, 50, of 24490 Route 138, died Sunday (March 31, 2002) of cancer at her home.

Born May 20, 1951, in Cortland, daughter of John T. and Eileen Snyder Thorsen, she graduated in 1969 from Homer High School.  She majored in art at the University of New Mexcio, Albuquerque, and graduated with a degree in education.

She married Tomm L. Maxon on Aug. 10, 1974.

Mrs. Maxon worked at the law offices of Haskell, Foley, Shea, Meldrim in Cortland, in the office of the Jefferson County district attorney in Watertown, and as a bookkeeper for her husband's chiropractic practice.

She was a member of the Tioghnioga Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Cortland, and a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Watertown.  She enjoyed genealogy and was an avid fan of her children's sports teams.

Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Kelly M. Hartshorn, Des Moines, Iowa; three sons, Tyler J., Alexander T., and Mark J., all of Calcium; her mother, Eileen S. Thorsen, Cortland; two sisters, Theresa Thorsen, Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Mitchell (Laurie T.) Seamans, Cortland; a brother, Eric J. Thorsen, Greenville, S.C., and a grandson.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Donald L. Turner, rector, officiating.  The body was cremated, and the ashes will be interred in the Trinity Church Elizabeth Haas Memorial Garden.

There will be no calling hours.  Arrangements are with Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown.

Donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 227 Sherman St., Watertown, N.Y. 13601, to Hospice of Jefferson County, 425 Washington St., Watertown, or to Tioghnioga Camp of the Daughters of the American Revolution Cortland Chapter.
