Running through sprinklers. Laughing for absolutely no reason at all. Music Someone to match wits with; a fellow punster. Sarcasm Having someone tell you that you're beautiful. Laughing at an inside joke. Friends My Sisters. Christmas with my Sisters. Accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about you. Waking up and realizing you still have a few hours left to sleep. Having someone play with your hair. Sweet dreams. Watching the expression on someone's face as they open a much-desired present from you. Watching the sunrise. Watching the sunset. Scary movies. Mushy movies. Walking barefoot in the grass. "Northern Grass", not the crabgrass we have in Florida. "B" Movies - i.e. "The Attack of the 50 Foot Woman. The cornier, the better. Angels and Faeries. Lucy Ricardo Things I Don't Like... Being misunderstood - Hey! Did you click the Music Speaker? Tardiness - Patience is not one of my virtues. So, if you're going to be late you better have a damn good excuse like a sucking chest wound or the ransom note from your kidnapper. Ronco Commercials - Does the World really need a lettuce spinner? Rudeness - Where do I begin? Call Waiting burns my Irish ass. I don't like being put on 'hold' when someone wants to take a possible 'more important call.' My insecurities begin to surface. Epitome of Rudeness; Clerks who operate registers and answer the phone when you're next in line, then yak and yak and yak... Telemarketers. Hey, after saying, "no thank you, I'm not interested", several times, can't you get the message? Dishonesty in Advertising - When I was 6, all I wanted for Christmas was a cukoo clock. I was devastated when I discovered the bird wasn't real! A "walking doll" was another Christmas downer. You had to move each leg to make her walk! Last but not least...Sea Monkeys. Need I say more? "You know what I mean?" - I hate that expression. Do you see "Inability To Perceive Mentally" tattooed on my forehead? I have a high forehead (so I have room for that phrase). You know what I mean? Bad Driving - I live in Florida, the blue-hair, bad drivers state. I'm too much of a lady to use hand gestures. However, when I'm stuck behind some old fart who is negotiating a right hand turn at 3 mph, I have a tendency to yell out the window, "Don't Flip It!" Paying for things I can't eat - I go to the supermarket, spend some cash, come home with 2000 Flushes, Toilet Paper, Pine Sol, Cat Dander Shampoo, Bounce, Ant Spray, WD-40 etc. etc. There's nothing fun or edible. This irks me. Unhappy Endings - Movies with rotten endings depress me. Nothing is worse then dropping $10 at the theatre and leave feeling a little sad or bewildered by a Movie. I want to be uplifted and leave with a smile on my face! I hate "Hate Groups" - Hate crimes, hate groups, prejudice, white supremacist, klu klux klan. You get my drift. My bad memory - I get aggravated when I run up the stairs and forget why. Liver and Onions Bratty Kids - Ok! I got my butt swatted when I acted up in Public. Act up in a nice restaurant? Mom could smile sweetly, pinch us under the table and we'd behave. What are parents afraid of these days? 1-800-Child-Abuse? Email Spam - I have seen arguments that spamming is protected by the First ("Free-Speech") Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I am a strong First Amendment supporter, but this argument is utter hooey. I don't like the canned stuff either.
