ENGINE INSTALLATION

Basic similarities between A and B motors (for install):

The following mounts are shared between both motors: front mount, driver's side (left) motor mount, and bottom tranny bracket.

A and B motors share the same tranny shift linkage and torque rod.

Basic differences between A and B motors (for install):

Rear tranny mount/bracket is different.

The B motor uses an intermediate shaft.

Different ECU (for fuel injection).

Different wiring harness.

Both the shift linkage and torque rod fit perfectly! Use the same bushings and fasteners. Last two pics on the right show the rear tranny mount (USDM version), misaligned, and obviously not fitting. This is the only mount that doesn't fit exactly. Two out of four bolts fit for this mount. engine can still rest on this mount and the others without motor sag.

Completed motor transplant, now ready for hooking up all lines, hosing, wiring etc.
