The Philippines culture is so similar to western culture in many ways that it is easy for a foreigner to adapt, at least partially. But there are significant differences, not always apparent, and awareness of those differences is important to successful living or traveling here. The Philippine Culture is Asia, and don't think just because they have been influenced by the Spanish and American occupations, it is not. Filipino customs and values are still paramount. They have their own culture, clear and concise to them. Many travel the world for jobs. But they still carry the Philippine culture and Philippine customs in their hearts.

The culture is as beautiful as the people, but it can be frustrating for the foreigner unless you take the time to understand it.

You can turn cultural differences into pleasure rather than pain with just a little preparation.
