I think that after looking at these two ISPs, I feel that AOL offers a better deal for about the same price. The biggest difference between these two providers is the fact that AOL gives you 7 email accounts while EarthLink gives you only one. |
Free Internet Service Providers | |||
ISP | hrs/Month | Phone # | Email Storage |
Netzero | up to 40 hrs/month | local | 3MB |
Bluelight | up to 25 hrs/month | local | 6MB |
Here are two free ISPs which I compared. I think that Netzero is the better deal. While you only get half the email storage, you get almost double the amount of time to use the service. To me, that is more important. |

50Megs | 50MB | Yes | Banner | Yes |
It seems here that 50Megs.com is a better web host. It gives you more storage than Yahoo, and for $5.00 a month, you can rid your web site of all advertising banners! I would have to go with 50Megs here. Sorry, Yahoo. |

Domain Name Registration
Domain name registration is the process of buying your own Dot COM, Dot NET or Dot ORG. This costs money every year to maintain your name and to keep it active. There is only one keeper of the database of ALL INTERNET names! That company is NetworkSolutions.com. This used to be a division of the US government, now they are a public company trading under the ticker of NSOL. Until recently, if you wanted to buy a domain name you had to buy it through this company. Now you can buy domain names through hundreds of companies, but the name is still held in ONE DATABASE, which is managed by Network Solutions. So, if you want to learn anything about domain names, then go to the source! http://NetworkSolutions.com |
