My favorite author is Robert Heinlein, a science fiction writer that passed away several years ago. One day I was just looking for a large book to read, came across Time Enough For Love,The Thousand Lives of Lasarus Long, and couldn't put the book down. So much so that I have read the majority of his books since, several times in most cases. I also enjoy Dean Koontz novels, as well as most any good story I can lay my hands on.

As for movies, I have a tougher time picking favorites. I lean towards good comedies, and enjoy it when the "nerds" get their "revenge". I also like action movies. I am a big fan of the things Jackie Chan can do with his body and whatever happens to be within 5 feet. I don't care for horror flicks much (unless they're funny ones). And the serious movies are O.K. as long as they don't get boring. I like a lot of the older movies, but I'm not sure why.

Television is a different story. I could do without most of television. The only programs I really enjoy are the cartoons, like the recent mega hit "Spongebob Squarepants". I can't seem to get enough of it.

I also like art, and have created some interesting little tidbits of "art" myself. When I figure out how, I'll get some pictures, but for now, just let me say that those that have seen my art have considered it very unique and me very strange. I work mostly with pencil or sculpting. I like to take things that are for the most part ordinary things and put them together in un-ordinary ways. I call it abstract-realism. I'm not much of an art student, so I don't know if that term is already taken or not. I also prefer that the art be very straight-forward and clean looking, which I, as a person, am neither.

I used to be a semi-talented trumpet player, but now I more or less make loud noise. I played for 7 years in school, concert and jazz bands, many honor bands, several solo competitions, and the Colt's Drum and Bugle Corps for one Summer.
