The
Spot is an area that is one of Sydney's hidden treasures
- while some eastern suburbs residents recognise immediately
the place where the Ritz is, many people are unaware of
this gem located in Randwick.
|
It
reflects the way city lifestyles are changing and provides
a place where residents and visitors can relax and enjoy
the friendly atmosphere. |
|
The
key attraction is the Ritz cinema,
which dates back to the 1930s and has been restored to its
original art-deco glory. Nearby, there are a multitude of
restaurants which reflect how multicultural
Sydney is - you can eat Mexican, Thai, Indian, Chinese,
Italian, Lebanese or Modern Australian depending on what
takes your fancy! Or you may prefer to relax with a coffee
in one of the coffee houses.
There
are also several businesses
such as a dance centre, antique stores, picture framers,
alongside accountants and physiotherapists and convenience
stores. |
|
Getting
there is a breeze using private and public
transport, and there are special bike racks that have
been put in place for patrons wanting to cycle to the area.
|
Refer
to the calendar of events page
to explore the activities and special events that take
place in the area. You may even be interested in finding
out about the history of The
Spot.
Also
don't forget to check out what the council
is doing in the area. Many services including a youth
group are provided.
If
you have not had an opportunity to visit this area yet,
take the chance! I guarantee that you will want to come
again.
