An anchor is placed at the Naval Hospital, Bremmerton. The anchor dondated by the Deactivation Crew of the USS California CGN-36 will soon be painted gold to symbolize the Naval Hospital Brennerton's receiving CINCPACFLT's "Golden Anchor Award" for 1998. The award recognizes commands excelling in career motivation and retention.
