I have set up an Open Adoption ring for anyone who is active in open adoption, i.e., members of adoptive families, birth families, or adoptees who are currently in an open relationship. Open adoption is often misunderstood and misrepresented in the press. As this ring grows we hope that it will:

• Serve as a resource for people in open adoption,
• Encourage others to pursue open instead of closed adoptions, and
• Show the world how many people have chosen open adoption.

Although we welcome support from everyone, we have designed the webring for people actually practicing open adoption. This includes adoptive families and birth families as well as adoptees who are in contact with birth and adoptive familes. Extended family members are welcome. However, it is not an adoption search ring, nor is it a "waiting-to-adopt" ring. There are many of these webrings, and they can be found at www.webring.org.
