Awards Won

MoonBase 3.0 (or its predecessor, The Philosopher's Box) has received several awards. Some of the sites that provided the awards are still up, ten years later! Here is a listing of those that don't conflate philosophy with NASCAR.

The Pondering Award

It's The Pondering Award ... the perfect award for my lifestyle. This was my first award; I received it on August 5, 1998 from Kent Oldham, of the Pondering Page. Thank you, Kent!

This page is jumpin' like a baby on electro-shock therapy!

From the e-mail notifying me that I won the award:

I found your website to be very clear and concise. The layout was easy to navigate and the pages loaded quickly. The most outstanding aspect of your website is, of course, your writing. No amount of flashy graphics or complicated code are more impressive than one man's (or woman's) thoughts and ideas. Especially when they are expressed with such logic and style. Thank you for the enjoyable read!

I received this award on August 9, 1998.

[The Garden of Atheism Award]

Muriel Kisling, this award's administrator, explains that the Garden of Atheism Award is "dedicated to awarding sites which intelligently and creatively expresses the viewpoints of atheists, agnostics, and freethinkers." I received this award on November 17, 1998. Thank you very much, Muriel!

The Socrates Award for Thought-Provoking Content

Given to me by Lady Socrates of, ironically enough, Lady Socrates' Homepage. She awarded this token to me on November 30, 1998.
