What's Changed

1 May 2009:

8 February 2009:

  • Updated the information on the Personal Info page (finally)!
  • Posted a revised version of the paper Modernist Anxiety, which was revised to serve as a secondary writing sample for one of my grad school applications at the end of December.
  • Updated the FAQ by fixing a typo and adding Question 3.7.
  • Updated several of the supporting documents relating to the HPQ.

4 December 2008:

  • Slight updates to the FAQ.
  • Minor typo corrections. (Even I miss things sometimes.)
  • Several sentences in the documents related to the HPQ were tightened or rephrased for clarity.

30 September 2008:

Slight changes to the contact info page.

27 March 2008:

All of the documents related to the HPQ, or Heirophants Proselytizer Questionnaire, have been converted to XHTML. (Jeez, what a monumental task. I'm going to have to learn how to do that with Tidy.)

22 March 2008:

The essay Temporal Dislocations and Visions of Interpretation in Shelley's "Ode to the West Wind" has been converted to XHTML.

21 March 2008:

Several pages have been converted to XHTML:

7 February 2008:

  • New links have been added to the navigation bar on the left sides of the pages on this site.
  • Several pages on documents related to the Heirophant's Proselytizer Questionnaire have had minor changes.

6 February 2008:

  • A new page is available, describing what it would cost to hire me to perform editing, layout, markup, or design tasks. This will become apparent as I redesign the navigation links for the site.
  • The guestbook signature page has moved ... this will hopefully discourage the flood of spam guestbook entries I receive every day.

31 January 2008:

  • A humorous brochure is now available along with the religion essays, describing a fictious product called Christ-Caps.

28 January 2008:

24 January 2008:

23 January 2008:

  • The Guestbook signature form is back! But GeoCities seems not to be processing forms right now ... sigh ...
  • A new essay, The Abstract Vegetation-God, has been posted.

21 January 2008:

The "Awards Received" page has been migrated over from the old version of the site; awards given by sites that no longer exist have been removed.

19 January 2008:

Guestbook entries have been migrated over from the old site, and several new ones (belatedly) added ... you still can't post, though.

11 January 2008:

I've posted revised versions of two papers: An Analysis of the Functioning of Types of Discourse in Selected Works by Oscar Wilde and Temporal Dislocations and Visions of Interpretation in Shelley's "Ode to the West Wind". Both were extensively revised before being used as writing samples for my recent applications to graduate school.

2 January 2008:

Three papers relating to mythology have been posted: The Bull-Symbol in the Royal Line of Crete, A Gap in the Greek Mythic System, and The Greek Mythic Genealogy Project. And several typos on pages throughout the site have been fixed.

28 December 2007:

An updated copy of the essay Loving Lolita has been posted.

26 December 2007:

The process of recoding the pages to properly display navigation options in all browsers is finished. Also, new backgrounds are being designed for some parts of the site, and the list of writing samples available is formatted in a much more attractive fashion.

25 December 2007:

Most people couldn't see the navigation bar in IE (which I never use, although I should have tested the site under it) versions earlier than 7, due to a problem with Microsoft's handling of certain types of (standard) images. Slowly correcting by rewriting HTML code ... should be done in the next few days.

20 December 2007:

The Philosopher's Box has shaken off its old form and been reborn as MoonBase 3.0. Please update your links and bookmarks.

  • The site is slowly being converted from HTML 4.01 to XHTML 1.0.
  • Currently, most of my effort is being put toward my DeviantART gallery.

Coming Soon

What's Changed | Current Projects | Coming Soon

Several additional mythology-related essays should be posted fairly soon. Also, I have revised the essays "An Analysis of the Functioning of Discursive Types in Selected Works by Oscar Wilde," "Temporal Dislocations and Visions of Interpretation in Shelley's 'Ode to the West Wind,'" "Modernist Anxiety," and "Loving Lolita" (that last one heavily) in the process of applying to graduate school at the end of last year, and will be posting updated copies as time permits.
