President
  • Preside at all meetings
  • Confer regularly with chapter advisors and collegiate province director
  • Appoint special committee chairmen and appointed officers
  • Authorize the collegiate chapter treasurer with chapter approval to make all chapter disbursements
  • Ensure that the chapter bylaws are reviewed annually for revision by the parliamentarian
  • Prepare for visits from leadership consultants, national officers or other guests according to the national procedure
  • Distribute all material sent to her for designated officers
  • Give a complete report to the entire chapter following a national convention, leadership development institute or state day
  • Be familiar with The Ritual of Alpha Sigma Alpha
  • Be familiar with the duties of each chapter officer and chairman
  • Report any change of officers or advisors to national headquarters
  • Appoint a nominating committee and chairman
  • Install new chapter officers
  • Ensure that an effective officer transition takes place immediately following the election of officers
  • Ensure completion of requirements as defined in the procedure for national fees, membership cards and permission to initiate
Amanda Evettes
Vice President of Public Relations and Recruitment
  • Promote and maintain positive external public relations for ASA
  • Work with the public relations chairman to develop and execute the chapter's public relations plan
  • Review articles prior to publication in conjunction with the public relations chairman
  • Keep statistical information on membership and recruitment
  • Maintain statistical information generated by other officers which promotes the successes of the chapter
  • Coordinate the chapter's membership recruitment program and serve as an exofficio member of the membership recruitment committee
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the collegiate chapter president
  • Attend necessary membership recruitment committee meetings
  • Assist the rating and voting committee as specified in the national rating and voting procedure
Elysia Fulcher
Vice President of Programming and Ritual
  • Promote sorority awareness through educational enrichment programs designed to inform the chapter members on issues
  • Coordinate activities and programs implementing them into an overall chapter program
  • Prepare yearly and monthly calendars and distribute them to chapter members
  • Recommend the resource materials available for use in educational enrichments and other programs
  • Serve as chairman of the programming committee
  • Perform other duties assigned by the president or executive board
  • Assist president in planning and coordinating the annual chapter evaluation, officer training, and committee placement system
  • Review notebooks, being sure that each chairman has a handbook and information pertaining to her office
  • Keep a current complete notebook

Vice President of Member Education
  • Be responsible for proper functioning of The Encounter: A Lifetime Membership Program
  • Inform the chapter on activities and progress with The Encounter:A Lifetime Membership Program
  • Keep all membership records up to date
  • Assist the membership advisor with administering sorority examinations
  • Form and direct a new member education committee whose purpose is to develop the pearl member program calendar and to assist in its execution
  • Ensure completion of requirements as defined in the procedure for national fees, membership cards, and permission to initiate

Treasurer
  • Collect all dues and fees
  • Keep a careful account of all receipts and expenditures
  • Write all checks authorized by the collegiate chapter president
  • Give a financial report at all weekly business meetings
  • Delegate duties to the assistant treasurer
  • Review the monthly financial reports with the chapter's financial advisor before they are signed
  • Serve as the chairman of the finance committee
  • Prepare an annual chapter budget with assistance from the finance committee
  • Work closely with all chapter officers and committee chairman to monitor their expenses and stay within their budgets
  • Inform the standards board of members with delinquent accounts
  • Send all forms, reports, and information required by national headquarters on or before the deadline
  • Be familiar with and utilize the Treasurer's Handbook and Budget Workbook
  • Retain all financial records of the chapter
  • Submit the materials requested by national headquarters for audit by May 31 of each year
  • Purchase supplies from national headquarters in cooperation with the collegiate chapter secretary
  • Ensure completion of requirements as defined in the procedure for national fees, membership cards and permission to initiate
