Selection and Admission Procedure

Admission Notice:
Applications are invited from eligible candidate for admission to the following courses for the
academic year2001-2002 under the NRI / Management Quota.

The total in take of the college is divided in 5 categories free seats, Payment Kar- Seats, Payment Non Kar-Seats , NRI / Management Quota ,Diploma Seats Candidates desirous of taking seats in NRI / Management Quota have to apply to the college.

They have to send the application form along with copies of marks card & other certificates to the Principal Rural Engg. College or come directly to the college and approach the Chairman/Principal regarding Seats for the other categories

NRI / Management Quota will be filled by the Govt. through Karnataka CET-Cell, Banglore.

Eligibility B.E. Courses : Pass in Pre-University or 10+2 examination with Physics Chemistry & Maths or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks & English as one of the subjects.
In case of SC/ ST the aggregate percent should be 45%

Eligibility M.C.A. Courses : Bachelors Degree of minimum three years duration with 50% aggregate having studied Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Programming /Computer Science / Computer Application as as one of the subjects at degree level or at 10+2 level.

Eligibility M.B.A. Courses
: Any Bachelors Degree of minimum three years duration with 50% aggregate

Eligibility M.Tech. Courses
:B.E. Civil Engg. with 50% Marks

DISCIPLINE, CODE AND CONDUCT

1.On Admission, each student is given an Identity Card. The student will have to produce it whenever demanded by the College Authorities.

2. Wearing of Uniform during Workshop hours is Compulsory

3. Every student should conduct himself / herself in an exemplary manner both during and after college hours

4. The parents concerned will be responsible if any student indulges in an act of Violence or any kind of Misconduct, which will adversely affect the good, academic, atmosphere and serene environment of the College. If any student's character or conduct is found Un-satisfactory, the matter will be reported to the concerned Parents or Guardians who should take Prompt and immediate action in the matter and also see the Principal if needed.

5. Students are advised not to take part in any political activities during their stay in the College.

6. If any property of the College is Damaged, destroyed and if the culprit is not traced, the concerned class or entire batch will be held responsible and all the students of the class or batch will have to pay the cost of the damaged or lost articles.

7. Suitable disciplinary action will be taken against any student who is found to be negligent in his / her studies or in-attentive in the classes or irregular in attendance. The University examination forms of the students who have put in the requisite attendance as per the rules of the University, will be forwarded by the Principal. Even if the application is forwarded, the Principal reserves the right to withdraw it before the commencement of University examinations, if the student fails to secure the requisite attendance and progress.

8. Periodical Class tests will be held for the students and the progress reports showing the marks obtained by them in various subjects, attendance, character and conduct will be regularly sent to the concerned parents or guardians. 75% attendance in theory and practical is Compulsory to qualify for final Examinations.

9. Any student who is guilty of disrespect to any member of the staff will be punished severely.

10. Smoking, chewing and form of tobacco in the campus is strictly prohibited.

11. Students are not allowed to loiter about in the College Premises during Class Hours.

12. RAGGING IN ANY FORM IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND INVITE VERY SEVERE PENALTY INCLUDING RUSTICATION.
