152. Ruth Ann Bagley of Greeley, Colorado, wrote us in December 1997 to ask for information on Jay Reese's wife's family. In that letter she said Jay was born about 1871/1872. She also mentioned that his grandparents were Thomas R. Rees (1897-1881) and Ann Price (1810-1889). She subsequently found Jay and Sadie's 5/15/1893 marriage license in Scranton (#25324; vol. 63; p. 24) which listed Jay's father as Evan M. and his mother as Mary. I didn't consider them close enough relatives to make their own record but will keep the information here in case someone should want it later.

161. Ibid., We can't be sure this gravestone marks the final resting place of Harry Davies' wife. Assuming it is a family member because it is in the family lot, the Sarah Thomas name is the only Sarah we know about that is left for it to be. The stone is also beside Harry's. Cynthia's and my guess is that she remarried a Mr. Thomas in the 8 years between Harry's death and hers. Where he is buried is unknown. This note is to record our uncertainty but retain the information from the Cemetery Association.
