2002 WUSA Weekly Injury Report

As of April 8, 2002
ATLANTA - Fullback Nancy Augustyniak has patellar tendonitis in her right knee and remains out of the line up.  Forward Cindy Parlow has a right ankle sprain and is likely not to play in the seaon opener.).

BOSTON - Both Keeper Tracy Ducar (with articular cartilage lesion in her right knee and fullback Kate Sobrero (with a meniscus tear in her left knee will be not in Boston's line up.   Forward Kristine Lilly, who is suffering from back spasms will more then likely play.

NEW YORK -Keeper Gao Hong (who had under gone surgury on her right wrist), fullback Jenn O'Sullivan (suffering from an  ACL/PCL tear) and Fullback/Midfield Sara Whalen (recovering from broken ribs) will not be in New Yorks line up.  Forward Rachel Hoffman who suffered a right footr sprain is expected to be on the opening day roster.

PHILADELPHIA - It is unlikely  forward Rakel Karvelsson (a right knee sprain), midfielder Rebekah McDowell (also with a knee sprain) will be able to play in the teams first game.  Forward Kerry Connors (another knee sprain) should be good to go.

SAN DIEGO - Forward Tara Koleski (suffering from a right knee sprain) may not be able to make an appance for her team.

WASHINGTON - Forward Mia Hamm (a left knee thigh bone lesion) will remain out of the line up for a couple of weeks.  And Keeper Siri Mullinix (recovering from right shoulder surgery) will remain out as well.  Keeper Erin Fahey (with a hip flexor pull) should be able to play.
