Waves vs. Desert Hawk (5-12-02)

It was supposed to be a keenly contested match between Desert Hawk Softball cricket club and the star studed Waves Softball cricket club at the Liberty Park Oval this past sunday, but the weather diminished all hope for an exciting game of cricket between these two teams both looking for their first win of the season. For Waves Cricket Club it was a must win situation, and one could feel the sense of urgency and anxiety in the Waves camp. After restricting Desert Hawk for 116 runs, one would thought that this would be an easy win for Waves, but with the light diminishing rapidly the game was very well in the balance. However, newly elected Captain Ravi Persaud had other ideas, playing a Captain's knock of 59 not out, and with the help of his players, he see to it that Waves recorded their first win of the season. As one said when the water comes in the Waves will rise and get bigger, and then everyone will know its a Wavy season.
