Origin of Hall Ball
Hall Ball. Ever heard of it? No? Well, then you are a liar because you just did when you read this. Anyway, Hall Ball was invented sometime before Christmas in 2005. I don’t know exactly when, even though I am the inventor. So now you want to know what it is, and how I invented it, right? Well, since you so graciously asked me, I will tell you. In a story, if you don’t mind. Ahem…

One day on an undetermined date, I was staying after school for Drum line practice, which started at 6:00 pm. At first, I and a few others (I will not relinquish their real names to the public) by the names of Clayton, Jimmy, and I believe Kyle, were playing petty games on the computer in the band office. That got kind of boring after awhile. So as I made my way to my band locker, Clayton and myself started kicking a small, round, metal musical instrument back-and-forth, trying to get it passed the other. But there wasn’t very much space, so I decided to retire the game to the hallway. (this is where you get to meet the band hallway) We continued playing until discovering that it kind of hurts the feet to kick metal musical instruments back-and-forth, including when you try to stop it with your feet. So the game was momentarily postponed as we racked our knowledge, mine immense, his limited, until (momentary pause for effect) I had an idea. As I sprinted to my locker, memories of the previous day in band cascaded through my mind like a gargantuan waterfall.
