East India

East India is that region of India which contains most of the part of the legendary Himalayan foothills. This region is also very near or one can say attached with Bangladesh, culminating in the Naga Hills along the Burmese border. East India is the land of several famous temples, pilgrimage centers, stupas, wildlife parks and snow covered Himalaya. But most of the area of East India is still untouched. This region is rich with many of India's largest corporate houses, India's steel industry, and coal and iron belts. A huge part of this region is covered with dense forests and in which one can enjoy the presence of wild animals. A major tribal part of whole India belongs to this region.

East India is the land of Blue Mountains, Green Valleys and Red River. East India is famous for its Natural Beauty, Wildlife, Flora and Fauna and Colorful people. This region is also famous for its colorful tribal people, beautiful Eco-tours, Trekking and Wildlife. One can also enjoy a taste of beaches, temples, monasteries, Buddhist circuit with a rural touch.

In East India most popular destinations are Calcutta, Puri and bhubaneswar. The major attractions in East India are Buddhist Circuit in Bihar, Monastries in Sikkim, Kanchenjunga Range of Mountains in Darjeeling etc. Most of the places of East India are famous for spectacular temples, shrines and stupas. Some of the most famous temples of East India are Parashurameshwara Temple (The masterpiece of the Orissa style of temple architecture), the Lingaraja temple (The finest example of purely Hindu temple in India). East India is also famous for its Buddhist monuments at Lalitgiri, Ratnagiri and Udaigiri near Bhubaneshwar.


Beach at Puri in East India is known for its picture perfect combination of golden sun, surf and sand. This is the ideal place for surf riding. Visit to the Sun Temple Konark has its own charm for a visitor. You can spend an entire day exploring the richness of the ancient art and architecture of the splendid temple. This region is also known for its various cultural activities, fairs and festivals like The Konark dance festival and the Sun Festival (Magha Saptami).
