Groundhog Day

Directed by
Harold Ramis
Starring
Bill Murray, Andie MacDowell, Chris Elliot

Groundhog Day is the side splitting story of a man who keeps waking up to find tomorrow hasn't arrived. Phil Connors is the TV weatherman sent to the town of Punxsutawney to report on Groundhog Day - the annual event in which a rodent predicts the weather. He has the worst day of his life, the weather is miserable, he's surrounded by people he loathes and cannot wait to leave. The nightmare begins when he wakes the next morning to find its Groundhog Day again and again and again...

Soon Phil starts to use the day to his advantage but what he doesn't realise is that he needs to have the perfect day to escape.

Bill Murray was born to play this part. You cannot imagine Phil Connors being played by anybody else. After success initially in Saturday Night Live, then with films such as Stripes and Ghostbusters, this performance will ensure Bill goes down in the comedy hall of fame.
