The 25 acres of the Sanctuary and Arboretum are being managed by the Three Village Garden Club as a nature preserve - a protected habitat for wildlife and an area where native and near-native plants will be maintained. The Club has undertaken this project to benefit those who seek natural beauty, to create an outdoor living museum for the education and enjoyment of all. In this ambitious undertaking, we are hoping for continued and increased support for a more widespread awareness of this jewel in our midst, a jewel unique in that it contains such a variety of environments; salt marsh and estuary, meadow, cedar grove, bamboo grove, vernal pond and the Azalea-Rhododendron Walk.
