Lock Staff Hours of Duty - All the Thames Locks are manned. It should be noted by river users that unplanned absences may possibly occur. In this case check on-site notice boards for details. The standard duty hours are:- |

January : 09.15 - 16.00, February : 09.15 - 16.00, March : 09.15 - 16.00*, April : 09.00 - 17.30, May : 09.00 - 18.30, June : 09.00 - 19.00, July : 09.00 - 19.00, August : 09.00 - 19.00, September : 09.00 - 18.00**, October : 09.00 - 17.00, November : 09.00 - 16.00, December : 09.00 - 16.00. * When Easter falls in March, Hours are: 09.00 - 17.30 Good Friday to Easter Monday Inclusive. ** Weekend Hours in September 09.00 - 18.30. |

Thames Fact: The deepest locks on the Thames are Sandford and Teddington, in normal conditions measure in at 8 ft 10 ins. The highest bridge (above normal water level) is Maidenhead Railway Bridge at 32' 2", the lowest being Osney Bridge at 7'6". |
