Andy Kun's Cartoon Version of me

Welcome to my Boba Fett Costume Page!

A brief intro into my "habit".  I love Halloween!  And usually each year, in a flurry of hurried effort, I try to pull together some type of off-the-wall costume.

Halloween of 2003, I came back to one of my favorite movie's of all-time, STAR WARS, and created a Tusken Raider costume.  With all my searching on the internet, I discovered several helpful websites for making and building costumes.

Where do you start when you build a Fett costume?

First things first, you must chose your Fett...there are several choices and here is a list and some brief descriptions of each one.

  1. Pre-production Fett
  2. Pre-production Fett #1
  3. Pre-production Fett #2
  4. Pre-production Fett #3
  5. The Empire Strikes Back (ESB)
  6. Return of the Jedi (ROTJ)
  7. Stars Wars (Special Edition)
  8. ...Or a custom or Extended Universe (EU) Fett Character

I also discovered the 501st Stormtrooper Legion.  I used my Tusken costume to gain entry into the 501st.

After Halloween, I discovered The Dented Helmet Forum, and I knew what I wanted to make.  In November of '03, I began buying a few things here and there.  My first purchase was a helmet...next armor...and then it steamrolled from there.

Whatever I could not buy, due to cost or availability, I created myself.  My guns and jetpack are totally made from scratch.  I painted every piece of my costume, and I did much of the sewing myself.

Now, I'll go through the main areas of my suit.

  Helmet
  Armor
  Soft Parts

  • Suit
  • Vest
  • Cape
  • Belts
  • Boots
  Weapons
  Jetpack

  Miscellaneous
  • Shin tools

Version 2.0 of my Fett Costume

I finally had a wearable costume in June '04.  My first outing as Boba Fett was at Adventure Con in Knoxville, TN.   I had a blast, but being the first time in the costume and wearing it for a significant amount of time, I discovered several things that needed to be adjusted or changed.

I don't think I will ever call this costume finished.  It will always be a work in progress...

I received this December '04 from a very talented individual - John Trnka.  John created this particular piece using a combination of graphite and charcoal.

Here's another awesome drawing from a very talented individual, Andy Kun.  Andy created this for me from a collage of photos I put together.  You can see more of his artwork over at the TDH.
