What happens at a Strange Happenings Murder Mystery ?
Each mystery is set at some kind of event - a film set, an old school reunion , an amateur dramatic society awards ceremony, the reading of a will and so on. As the evening develops the audience watch a mystery unfold scene by scene -usually between the courses of a meal. These scenes are enacted by Inspector Herring and his sidekick Sgt. Kipper and they culminate in a cruel foul murder which the audience have to solve.

Do members of the audience have to play parts?
No. Some Murder Mystery Companies give parts to members of the audience to perform, but a Strange Happenings mystery all the parts are played by the professional actors.

Are the audience involved?
Yes. Although they aren't given specific parts to play the audience is encouraged to enter into the spirit of the evening and are given a generic role - e.g. extras on a film shoot, fan-club members etc and of course they are fully involved in working out the mystery.

How do the audience solve the mystery?
By paying attention to the scenes as they are enacted, by interrogating the prime suspects and examining any evidence presented. They then fill in charge sheets and the team of collective detectives who come closest to solving the crime are awarded prizes.
