Air The fifth element.
The top of the pentacle.
The one element from within ourselves,
connecting the four other elements to an entity.
The human spirit being of non-material substance, could be as rarified air,
refreshing as cold water,burning-hot as fire, hard and dependable as rock (Earth).
As far as the points of the pentacle go however, spirit is all and none.
Spirit is the element of the divine in menkind.
The spark of life granting us all our part of "divinity".
Our spirit is as quick and mobile as a child playing at hopscotch, but at the same time as composed and thoughtfull as an eldery wise-one.
The importance of the spirit and its health can not be stressed upon enough.
In order for the spirit to develop and grow, it needs nourishment, needs to be cared for,
needs freedom , needs to explore its borders and expand.
Spirit understands and accepts the vastness of space, does not calculate in monetary currency, is not limited by the boundries of time...
Why limit our spirit from the get-go with pre-set notions, pre-cooked meals...
Our spirit and its ability to grow, makes us to what we are: strange, exotic, fascinating and above all: UNIQUE !
It is therefor impossible to give a clear and accurate definition of "the spirit" in general.
I feel that I my case, I show a fleeting impression of my spirit through the subjects captivating and fascinating me.
