Useful Tools and Sites
- Ghost It - Ghost It is a freeware program that allows you to select a window that will stay on top of your other windows, but that won't accept mouse clicks and is partly transparent. Useful for tracing hole shapes from websites.
- Map Mart - This link takes you to a map of the US. Start clicking to zoom closer and closer, and you can get aerial views and topography for any course in the US if you know where it is located. Some areas of the country have full color aerials so good you can see cars and trucks and the mower lines on the fairways.
- Jorgen's 19th Hole Stop - Jorgen of the Clambaker's Tour provides useful utility programs for Tiger Woods golf. Of interest to designers is his Cloaking Tool, which allows libraries to be hidden from the game. This step makes it easier for the designer because there are fewer libraries to scroll through, and also easier for the CA, which can crash when too many libraries are registered. His 2.0 version can also work with the CA files to allow uncloaking of needed libraries in a single step. Highly recommended.
- Jackol Designs - Jackol Designs provides custom flags and splash screens. Splash screens and flags really enhance and complete a good design, but they are arts unto themselves. Jackol has provided original splashes and flags for many designers.
