v Residents

American Crow (They will chase and attack the hawks, plucking out feathers! On the other hand, Robins chase them away during nesting season.)

American Kestrel ("Sparrow Hawk") ( 2001 - A nesting pair!)

American Robin (2 nesting pairs)

Band-tailed Pigeon

Bushtit (Noisy little flock goes through all the trees & bushes)

Cooper's Hawk

Downy Woodpecker

European Starling (One imitated a Meadowlark perfectly and fooled us for 3 days! Also does a good Red-winged Blackbird.)

Greater Roadrunner (Ever see a Robin or Crow "dive-bomb" one of these?)

Great Horned Owl (The first time I saw one was at night while walking the dog and it flew silently just over my head!)

House Finch

House Sparrow

Rock Dove (assorted domestic/feral Pigeons)

Red-tailed Hawk

Scrub Jay (Love those wacky peanut eaters!)

Sharp-shinned Hawk

White-winged Dove

v Spring/Summer

American & Lesser Goldfinches (Love to hear their little "mew" calls)

Black-headed Grosbeak

Great-Tailed Grackle (We love their songs and whistles!)

Evening Grosbeak

Green-tailed Towhee

Hairy Woodpecker

Hummingbirds: Black-chinned, Broad-tailed, Calliope, Rufous

Ladder-backed Woodpecker

Mourning Dove (Nesting pair returns every year with offspring pairs)

Northern Mockingbird (Such a talented singer!)

Northern Saw-Whet Owl (Calls to us on warm summer nights) [could be a Screech Owl]

Red-winged Blackbird (He greets us each morning & evening; visits the seed feeders.)

Western Kingbird

White-crowned Sparrow
